Rosehip Shells and Oil

Overview

Rosehip, or Rosa rubiginosa, is a shrub, and is valued for both the shells and seeds of its wild harvested rosehip berries.

They are sourced from our own supply chain in Lesotho.

Grades

We carry organic and conventional grades.

Process

The dried rosehip berries are processed to separate the shells from the seeds. The shells are milled to different cut sizes, ranging from fine powder to 5mm pieces, as per customer specifications. The separated seeds are cold pressed to extract the oil. Oil is pressed on customer order.

Harvest

Rosehip wild berries are harvested around April to July.
