Marula Oil

Overview

Marula seed oil is a yellow to pink oil with a fruity, nutty odour. It is extracted from the kernel of the fruits of the Marula trees, also known as Sclerocarya birrea.

Grades

We carry organic and conventional grades.

Process

The seed is removed from the marula fruit. Marula kernels are carefully removed from inside the seed and cold pressed to extract the oil. Oil is pressed on customer order.

Harvest

The marula fruit is harvested around January to April.

Functionalities

Skin, hair and nails

Contains amino acids which have hydrating and anti-aging properties.
Contains fatty acids, which have emollient and moisturizing benefits.
Contains antioxidants including vitamins E and C, which fight free radicals and may stave off skin damage caused by the ultraviolet rays of the sun and pollution.
